Marine Analytical Labs

The Marine Analytical Labs are a part of the Institute of Marine Sciences at UC Santa Cruz. They are a general access analytical facilty for the support of research in the Marine Sciences. Scientific instruments and other equipment to aid research in marine chemistry, biology, geology, and environmental toxicology are housed in a central lab complex within the Earth and Marine Sciences Building open to all qualified users. Analytical instrumentation, instruction in use of the equipment, consultation in experimental design, sampling, analysis and data interpretation, and general assistance in all aspects of analytical science are provided by the lab manager, Rob Franks.
