Description

Visiting scientist are invited to use the MEGAMER facility apartment conveniently located five minutes (by car) from the UCSC campus, downtown Santa Cruz and Long Marine Lab. This two bedroom apartment comes fully furnished with an equipped kitchen, wireless internet access, and an on-site washer/drier facility. Visiting scientist are also offered use of an extended cab, Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck in order to conduct field work and for convenient transportation around the Santa Cruz area. Priority use of the apartment follows the same guidelines that dictate general facility use. The cost associated with use of the truck and apartment is explained in greater detail by the MEGAMER facility policy.

Directions

From San Jose International Airport

Follow CA-17 South to CA-1 North- Half Moon Bay
Follow CA-1 North for approximately 3/4 miles. CA-1 will veer right
on to Mission. You should not. Instead proceed straight on to Chestnut Street.
Follow Chestnut Street for approximately 1 mile until you cross Laurel Ave.
The complex will be on your right side and Apartment 144 will be on the bottom floor
right at the corner of Laurel and Chestnut.

The facility truck is parked in the parking spot #449.

Additional parking is available anywhere along the 100 block of Chestnut Street. Such parking requires a permit stored in the apartment.

Note that there is no overnight parking without a permit.
