Long Marine Lab

Zeka's research focus is understanding human impacts on native wildlife populations. She explores sub-lethal effects of manufactured products and waste at both organism and population scales. In her role as director of the Predatory Bird Research Group, Zeka conducts science outreach, oversees a regional longterm monitoring program on peregrine falcons, and supervise student researchers interested in asking questions about breeding raptor species in Santa Cruz County.
