    • Visiting the IMS Analytical Labs on the Main Campus

  • Parking permits are required when parking on the UCSC campus. Visitors and guests may purchase a 1-day permit from the Main Entrance Kiosk located on Coolidge Drive, between the hours of 7:00am and 1:00pm, Monday through Friday. From 1:00pm to 5:00pm all permits must be purchased at the TAPS Sales Office. A map of both locations is available here.

    You may also proceed directly to the Core West Parking structure where hourly pay station parking is available (2 hour limit).

    To reach the Core West Parking structure, proceed north on the main road, Coolidge Drive, as you drive around the eastern edge of campus. Coolidge then turns into McLaughlin Drive after a sharp curve to the left. Continue until you reach Heller Drive and turn left. The Core West Parking structure entrance is immediately to your left. You may walk to the Earth and Marine Sciences building from there. Some disabled parking is located near the building. This may be accessed via Red Hill Road.

    The UCSC Visitors website also provides maps, directions, and detailed parking information, as well as organized tours, virtual tours, and other programs for those wishing to visit the campus.
